Tiny improvements

A dry afternoon most likely today and 18-19°C with generally low cloud - should clear though for a nice evening. Lighter winds inland but still windy towards the coast.

A clear night and very cool too with overnight low's expected around 9-10°C.

More cloud cover again tomorrow morning with the odd scattered shower in the morning. Light southerly winds across Kent and where the cloud looks to break for a time in the afternoon, could just nudge temperatures to 20°C where the sun lasts longer.

Thin high based cloud follows suit overnight but with those southerly winds, temperatures overnight a degree or 2 higher then lately.

"A mixed bag"

I've never liked the phrase a mixed bag, but it seems that's how best to describe the weather up to Saturday!

A split across Kent this afternoon with Sunny spells and showers across northern and western parts of the county with longer breaks in the cloud further south and east. High's of 17-19°c in a fresh wind of 25-30mph although, with the low pressure now further East across the country higher gusts are being reported along the coast lines where up to 45mph is reported.

This evening and overnight more cloud expected to arrive along with blustery conditions continuing on the coast.

Rain still for Friday morning which looks to clear away by the early afternoon which should leave a fine and sunny afternoon for us all which should increase temperatures to around 20°c.

Still pretty windy for Friday as well it should be noted!

A clear night to come so pretty low temperatures, 12°c and easing wind speeds with high pressure trying to move north across southern parts of UK

Wednesday PM

This afternoon is expected to turn more overcast with the expected arrival of showers/rain for a time this evening before clearing away into the North Sea overnight.

The first of this rain is currently approaching SE Kent as I type this.

With a slightly unstable airmass, thundery rain is the most likely outcome but does bring a chance of embedded thunderstorms.

The main activity is expected to remain over the continent and move away from our region thus not affecting us.

Overnight low's to be around 13/14°c, but with an enhanced focus of some rather noticeable wind speeds overnight into the morning.  20-25mph speeds are expected with 30-35mph in the channel suggesting these type of speeds could affect the coastal areas.

Also, To a slightly lesser extent, West Kent is right on the edge of a TORRO Tornado Watch until 10pm this evening.
